_We are the Ladera Tigers, and we hold great pride in what we offer. Our world is getting smaller, and we see people moving constantly and increasingly throughout the world. Our daily events reveal so clearly the need for focus on harmony between the vast races, religions, and cultures. This circumstance is equally true for young growing people, and especially among young people who, with their families, move, throughout the world, adapt to a changing lifestyle. It is why LISS sees these challenges and as a true international school, we strive to better prepare our students for that change.
_We embrace high academic standards, as it allows better and more unique learning experiences for all students. With hard work and dedication from all teachers, students, administrators, including the needed support from parents and/or guardians, we believe that our TIGERS can lead for needed change wherever they may be.
_LISS' primary concern is to provide quality education that stretches each student's ability to achieve full academic and social potential. Highest standards of education are achieved when students, teachers, parents, and community work together. We strive for this partnership each day at LISS, and through mutual effort we believe we can help make our school, our community, and our world a better place.
_We look forward to seeing you all here at LISS!

Educational Principles
Academic Excellence
L.I.S.S. provides an educational program which identifies the strengths and needs of each student. Teachers require that students maintain a strong work ethic both during school time and for homework assignments. Each student is encouraged and supported in achieving personal goals thus promoting the development of a strong self concept and a consistent effort toward the achievement of excellence.
International Education & Personal Development
Students are encouraged to understand themselves while at the same time caring about their community and one another. Providing students with opportunities to meet and work with others who have diverse backgrounds helps students in the development of a personal international awareness.
Assessment Practices
Students are exposed to a variety of assessment practices, to reveal different strengths. Fair techniques of student evaluation, as used in Canadian schools, ensure that all students have the opportunity for success and improvement.
Responsibility
Ladera International School of Saipan holds all responsible for their share of the educational process. Students, teachers, administrators, directors and parents each have an important role to play in providing the best education possible. L.I.S.S. will encourage each of the partners in the educational process to take responsibility for their share.

Ladera International School of Saipan - Introduction
Ladera International School of Saipan (LISS) was founded in June, 2006 by ILC Corporation, Park, Yong Nam, President/CEO and SungYun Anne Kim, Vice-President.
LISS is a secular private international school. The school was built to provide quality education to a maximum of 180 students. The school is available to both local students and boarding students from Asia or other locations.
Ladera International School is located in Fina Sisu on 20,207 square meters of fenced property on top of a hill overlooking the ocean.
Boarding facilities include nine student suites in a two-story concrete building. Each suite has a common room, two student bedrooms, two bathrooms and an adult bedroom. The common room is a place to study, watch television, play games and meet with friends. Each common room includes storage areas, a work table, a sink, a two-burner stove top, a small refrigerator, drinking water, and a television set. The bathrooms have hot and cold water. Each bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunk beds, study areas with shelving, and dressers for clothing. All bedrooms have patios with an ocean view. The dormitory building can board 72 students with 9 adult chaperones. The building also has one two-bedroom apartment where the owners live. There is a laundry room to the side of the building and a small dog kennel on the front side. This building has a back-up generator and typhoon shutters.
A student swimming pool, three to four feet deep, is located on the ocean-side of the dormitory. There is a covered patio near the pool. This side of the dormitory building has a large vacant lot which can be utilized for student games or later, for additional building space.
In front of the dormitory, there is play equipment for younger students and a basketball court. The basketball court has a partial fence so balls won’t go down the driveway to the street.
There is a covered walkway from the dormitory to the classrooms.
The school includes 9 classrooms, a cafeteria, a computer room, two offices, and a library. There are two sets of student restrooms, one at the end of the classroom building and one between the library and the swimming pool.
Each classroom is equipped for a maximum of 20 students with student and teacher desks, storage shelves, a white board, a felt board and a computer station. The computer classroom has twelve student workstations, a teacher desk and computer stand, and a white board.
